In 2006, Al-Ayn (Iraq) started providing care and support to orphaned children and their families. Today, Al-Ayn (Iraq) serves over 60,000 orphaned children living in poverty.
Al-Ayn Social Care Foundation (UK) works in collaboration with Al-Ayn (Iraq) to give orphaned children the tools they need to fulfil their potential at each stage of their lives. The unrivalled grassroots support in cities and villages across Iraq, as well as overwhelming international support, has enabled Al-Ayn to continue to reach out to even more orphaned children in need.
Tragically, many children continue to be orphaned every day in Iraq with thousands still awaiting help. If you share our belief in a dignified and comprehensive care system for all orphaned children, help us transform young lives today.
Our vision is that every orphaned child living in poverty receives the care and support that they need, empowering them to follow their life choices and reach their potential.
Our mission is to empower orphaned children and provide them with comprehensive support and services. We do this by:
• engaging with our supporters;
• collaborating with global experts;
• conducting research;
• raising awareness and funds; and
• providing enriching and interactive local services.
We believe that every orphaned child living in poverty must be given an opportunity to thrive in spite of their difficult circumstances, not just to survive them.
That is why, alongside essential monthly financial aid, each child sponsored through Al-Ayn is given access to psychological rehabilitation, medical care, educational support, personal development, vocational training, housing and more.
We are proud to serve orphaned children. Help us provide them with dignified and comprehensive care. Join us today.
Wherever you may be, we are always seeking volunteers across a wide range of areas within the charity. Whether you have specialist skills you would like to share, you want to gain work experience, or you would simply like to be hands on with gifting your time, we need you.
