Help orphaned children have access to medical care throughout their childhood

Help us improve the lives of orphaned children

Free Medical Care

Due to decades of war and instability, exasperated by the global crisis, medical care in Iraq is often inaccessible to orphaned children in poverty. That is why, Al-Ayn provides all children and their guardians with access to free medical care, including scans, operations where needed and free medication.

During the pandemic, the medical care provision expanded beyond orphaned children and covered all those in need. With tonnes of specialised medical equipment and masks being distributed to medical centres and hospitals across Iraq.

When you support our medical care programme, you are ensuring every child continues to have access to medical care throughout their childhood. To find out more about our current medical projects, and how you can support, do get in touch.

You Can Make A Difference

To date, Al-Ayn (Iraq) has carried out over 41,000 medical treatments for orphaned children and their mothers/guardians. In hundreds of cases, the treatment included operations. Sometimes, treatment has been conducted abroad. Our supporters who wish to contribute to medical care treatments or services can do so by visiting our donation page or by donating via Bank Transfer and using the reference AYN MED.

Give orphaned children the basic necessity of being treated by medical practitioners and specialists.

Why Is Mental Health Care Important?

We are dedicated to providing services that cater to the mental health needs of orphaned children because we believe mental health matters. To date, Al-Ayn (Iraq) has registered over 1,400 orphaned children to its Psychological Rehabilitation Programme. We are building six more Psychological Rehabilitation Centres across Iraq to give even more children access to vital care. To contribute towards this project visit our donation page or donate via Bank Transfer using the reference AYN PSY.

Reclaim Gift Aid

Gift Aid It!Add 25% more to your donation at no cost to you. A Gift Aid declaration allows Al-Ayn Social Care Foundation (UK) to claim tax back on eligible donations. It means that for every £1 you donate to Al-Ayn Social Care Foundation (UK) we can claim back 25p, at no extra cost to you.

I want to Gift Aid all donations made to Al-Ayn Social Care Foundation today, and any donations I make in the future or have made in the past 4 years. Please also apply Gift Aid to donations placed in all the Sadaqa Boxes I have returned to Al-Ayn today, in the last four years, and to any of my returned boxes in the future. I confirm that donations placed in these boxes are my own, and that I will inform Al-Ayn if this is not the case for any boxes registered against my name. I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference. I understand that Al-Ayn Social Care Foundation will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more, but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When Al-Ayn Social Care Foundation (UK) receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we’re entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.
