Afghanistan is reeling from the aftermath of war, floods, and natural disasters, compounded by plummeting temperatures in homes without heat. This humanitarian crisis affects 28.3 million people, marking one of the world’s largest humanitarian crises.
At Al-Ayn, our response goes beyond immediate emergencies. We maintain a year-round grassroots presence, ensuring ongoing support for orphaned children and their families. Here’s how we make a difference:
Monthly grants empower families to make essential purchases, preserving their dignity and accountability.
Vital food parcels provide essential sustenance for a healthy body and lifestyle.
Ensuring access to quality healthcare for families in need.
Acute malnutrition has surpassed emergency levels in 25 of 34 provinces. Alarming statistics project an even graver situation, with nearly half of children under 5 and a quarter of pregnant and breastfeeding women requiring urgent nutrition support in the coming year.
The Al-Ayn Afghanistan Fund strives for holistic well-being, supporting orphaned children and families beyond mere essentials. With our expertise and commitment, we’re capable of delivering crucial aid. However, urgent expansion is imperative.
Help us reach more families in dire need. Your support ensures dignified care and a chance for a better future. Donate now to extend a lifeline to those who need it most.
Al-Ayn expanded its efforts to Afghanistan in 2021. Building upon our successful model developed over the past 18 years in Iraq, our experience of working in a conflict zone positioned us well to establish operations in Afghanistan and start supporting orphaned children living in poverty around the world.
Going beyond financial assistance, our approach in Afghanistan strives to provide orphaned children and their families with essential necessities.
In 2023, Al-Ayn provided monthly financial aid to 514 orphaned children in Afghanistan as well as Ramadan food baskets, Eid clothes and toys and Qurbani meat to all those under our care.
Al-Ayn has an office in Afghanistan that will optimise your donation providing it to deserving families after thoroughly investigating the needs of each individual. We will also send you a receipt and will provide updates on all of our projects through our newsletter and social media platforms.
