Select your Qurbani and where it will be carried out
Complete your Qurbani donation at least one week before Eid Al-Adha to ensure your sacrifice can be prepared and delivered on time
Animals are carefully selected in accordance with Islamic rulings and quality standards.
Your Qurbani is carried out under local supervision.
Fresh Qurbani meat is distributed directly to orphaned children and their families.
Each sheep provides approximately 20kg of Qurbani meat, which is carefully distributed to families based on their size. Smaller families typically receive a 2kg pack, while larger families of 5 or more receive 4kg. This means that a single sheep can support between 5 to 10 families – allowing your Qurbani to reach multiple households this Eid Al-Adha.
In Ghana, Qurbani is performed through cows, with each cow shared across multiple donations. The meat is distributed using the same system, ensuring that smaller families receive 2kg and larger families with 5 or more, receive 4kg packs. This year, our teams plan to deliver 250 Qurbani packs to 212 registered families in Ghana, ensuring that orphaned children and their families are supported during Eid Al-Adha.
54 tonnes of meat were distributed to orphaned children and their families, reaching 99,597 children
Every orphaned family registered with Al-Ayn received a meat parcel, supporting 2,797 children
Every registered orphaned family received a meat parcel, supporting 304 children
So pray and sacrifice to your Lord ˹alone˺
Surah Al-Kawthar (108:2)

Qurbani is an important Islamic practice performed during Eid Al-Adha, involving the sacrifice of a livestock animal. It is compulsory for those performing Hajj and highly recommended for Muslims who are able to give, even if they are not undertaking the pilgrimage.
Rooted in the tradition of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), Qurbani is an act of devotion and compassion – providing nourishment and relief to orphaned children and vulnerable families in need.
Our teams on the ground ensure your Qurbani is delivered with care and transparency.
At Al-Ayn, we ensure all Qurbani is carried out in accordance with the necessary jurisprudential standards. We prioritise quality and carefully select healthy livestock for this sacred act.
For over 20 years, Al-Ayn has operated with the direct support and blessings of Al-Sayyid Al-Sistani, including his authorisation to receive religious dues and donations. The official and latest Authorisation (Ijaza) from his eminence can be read in full by clicking here

This year, your Qurbani will support orphaned children and vulnerable families in communities where need remains severe and ongoing.
In Afghanistan, the humanitarian crisis continues to worsen. It is estimated that 45% of the population will require urgent humanitarian assistance in 2026, while nearly 4 million children are suffering from acute malnutrition. For many families, access to nutritious food remains out of reach.
In Iraq, 8 million children are living in multidimensional poverty, facing daily challenges including food insecurity, limited access to healthcare, and financial hardship.
Your Qurbani brings relief to those in urgent need.
Qurbani is an important Islamic practice that involves the sacrifice of a livestock animal on Eid Al-Adha. This is an act of faith dedicated to Allah (SWT) and serves as a reminder of Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) willingness to sacrifice his own son when asked by God to do so in a dream.
As commanded by God, Prophet Ibrahim (AS) went to the top of Mount Arafat to sacrifice his son, Prophet Ismail (AS). At the final moment, Allah (SWT) miraculously moved his son to safety and replaced him with a sheep.
Qurbani is compulsory for everyone participating in Hajj during the month of Dhul Hijjah (the last month of the Islamic calendar); but it’s also greatly recommended for all Muslims.
The animals that can be slaughtered for Qurbani are sheep, cattle, goats and camels. It is recommended that the animal is healthy, with no signs of malnourishment.
The sacrifice must be performed on Eid Al-Adha. This means you should donate your Qurbani before 21 May 2026, in order to give us enough time to prepare and perform your sacrifice. All donations received after that date will be postponed to next year. If the amount is insufficient next year, it will be considered as a contribution towards Qurbani.
Your Qurbani will be distributed to orphaned children and vulnerable families supported by Al-Ayn across Iraq, Afghanistan, and Ghana, ensuring your sacrifice reaches those most in need.
Yes, you may give multiple Qurbanis. This allows you to support more families and share the blessings of Eid with those in need.
Al-Ayn has over 20 years of experience supporting orphaned children and their families. Our teams operate directly on the ground, ensuring your Qurbani is delivered with care, transparency, and in accordance with Islamic guidelines.
