Supporting Orphaned Children in Iraq
In Iraq, Al-Ayn supports over 108,734 orphaned children and more than 40,000 widowed mothers. These families face a range of challenges, and Al-Ayn provides comprehensive care designed to support them at every stage of life.
Through financial assistance, healthcare, education, psychological support, and vocational opportunities, families receive the support they need to achieve stability. This approach ensures orphaned children are supported in a holistic and meaningful way.
Why Qurbani Matters
Qurbani provides additional support during Eid Al-Adha. It ensures families can prepare nutritious meals, celebrate together, and experience the joy of Eid.
Last year, more than 50 tonnes of Qurbani meat were distributed across Iraq, reaching nearly 100,000 children. This support brought relief to families and helped ensure no one was left behind during Eid.
This year, your Qurbani can help us reach even more families.
A Trusted Process
When you give your Qurbani with Al-Ayn, every stage of the process is carefully managed and carried out according to Islamic jurisprudential rulings. Al-Ayn holds direct authorisation (Ijaza) from His Eminence, Al-Sayyid Ali Al-Sistani, permitting the organisation to receive and distribute religious donations.
During Qurbani, animal sacrifice takes place in line with jurisprudential requirements, selecting healthy livestock suitable for this sacred act. The sacrifice is then carried out according to Islamic rulings, under the supervision of experienced local teams who ensure the process is conducted responsibly and respectfully.
Your Qurbani is distributed to orphaned children and their families supported by Al-Ayn, ensuring your sacrifice reaches those most in need during Eid Al-Adha. Through this trusted and transparent process, your Qurbani is delivered with care, accountability, and adherence to Islamic principles.
